Final: Part 1

1.  Something I liked about this class are the videos haymore shows to us of people doing nice things.

2.  I didn’t like how most websites are blocked.

3.  I believe I did my best in this class.

4.  Yes I do read my life planning goals, it helped me accomplish many short term goals.

            The best thing a person can do is choose to always choose the right. It makes you a better person. You help not only yourself but others too.

Lots of people tend to get influenced by others and will make their decisions based upon who’s around or their paranoia on what others my think of them. A strong minded person will do what they feel is right without letting others change or alter their choices.

 Teddy Roosevelt was known to be a wise man so his advice is probably best. In this quote he is saying the best thing to do is the right thing.

In a game between Western Oregon and Central Washington, a senior named Sara hit her first home run, but when she forgot to touch first base she quickly turned and torn her ACL. She couldn't walk and her teammates weren’t allowed to help her. Neither she nor the team knew what to do. Until a girl named Mallory on the other team asked the umpire if she could carry her around to touch the plates. He said that would be okay and Mallory and her teammate Liz helped carry Sarah to home plate. These showed very good sportsmanship and they left the game aside to help another person even if it may have hurt their chances of winning.

This quote is relatable because it IS a great thing when someone chooses the right.  An example of this quote would be if a peer is getting bullied and instead of just witnessing you actually do something and speak up for him/her. 

The 10 Indian Commandments

Reflection: In my opinion these commandments are very good life rules to follow. I don’t think you need to apart of the Indian culture to obey by these rules. They make up a person that is honest, trustworthy and humble.

I agree with this quote very much. Promises are important to me, I have never broke one. Most people find it shocking when I tell them that but it really isn’t all that hard; just don’t make promises you can’t keep. In my opinion keeping your promises shows that you’re a loyal and trustworthy person.

An example of this quote would be how karma works. If you’re a bad person that’s exactly what you will receive back. If you’re a good person you will receive good karma and be happy and fortunate in life.

In my opinion this quote is trying to say that we have a choice to choose between right and wrong. We should not make choices based upon if they are cheaper, more popular, or easier. We should follow this principle so that our decisions will not be wrong.

I think this quote is saying that people should be positive influences on each other. Together we should promote acts of kindness and choosing the right. We shouldnt put negative peer pressure among others such as using drugs and alcohol.

Rachel Castillo

Rachel Castillo found a bag full of stacks of money adding up to $36,000 dollars. She also found an id in bag, it belonged to a 76 year old man. Most people in need of money would pretend they didn’t even see the id and keep the money. Rachel didn’t do that, she choose the right and turned the money into the police. It was very kind of her to do that because not only was it the right thing but the man also needed the money, he was sick in the hospital.

I like this quote, it can change someone’s perspective of thinking. Basically its saying the most popular choice isn’t always the right one. Just because many people are making the same dumb decision it doesn’t mean you have to. It’s like when your mom would say, “If ____ were to jump off a bridge you would too?”
