1.  Something I liked about this class are the videos haymore shows to us of people doing nice things.

If everyone in the world showed great character, the goodness will spread and lead a nation to peace, little by little. It begins with just one person that will pass the goodness onto their friends and family, who will pass it onto other members and eventually peace will rise and spread to the nation. I believe the Six Pillars are a great way to keep people in order. They all describe traits to keep the peace and help others and the environment. Having these 6 traits is a sure way to help you stay in the 'Right' lane and be a good person.

I think this quote should be look upon and analyzed by the youth so they can learn the term integrity. Most people these days don’t have integrity; they don’t care how they get to they become successful as long as they do. Someone without integrity has no respect for themselves. 

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day in which we remember those who have died in the service of the United States of America. It is celebrated on the 25th of May. It was originated during the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Some ways we can show honor and respect on Memorial Day is by saying thank you to all the people in the armed forces and being thankful to them and their families. Most people celebrate this holiday by going to parades, going to the people’s grave who risked their lives for us, and by having barbecues with the family. Something my family and I do on Memorial Day is give thanks to families who have a loved one at war and give our condolences for those who lost a love one because of war.

LAUSD: Families

       Some resources that LAUSD has for families is the Parent Advisory Committee, the District English Learner Advisory Committee, the ESC parent engagement, the parent and community resources, the Community Advisor Committee, the Parent Bill of Rights, and the school volunteer program.

·       I think these resources benefit us because our parents are being involved in our school or our district to try to help out and make the LAUSD district and the schools within this district better as well. Also they can be aware of anything that happens in the school or district.

·       I think my family and I will use all the resources we need when we need them. It is a good thing that LAUSD district has a parent Bill of Rights because that way our parents can know their right sand can fight for them.

Lots of people tend to get influenced by others and will make their decisions based upon who’s around or their paranoia on what others my think of them. A strong minded person will do what they feel is right without letting others change or alter their choices. 

Nursing Home Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities: supervise clinical and administrative affairs of nursing homes and related facilities

Salary: $90,175

Education: need at least a four-year bachelor's degree and will likely need to pass a state licensing examination

I would not like to be a nursing home administrator. I wouldn’t like to because this job is associated with people very close to death and I can’t handle that.

Life Planning Progress

I have achieved 24 out of 106 of my goals. My progress hasn’t been that great because I set a lot of long term goals rather than things I can just do on a normal day. Although, the goals I have achieved were meaningful to me so im still pretty proud. I look forward to coming up with more goals and achieving them. 

Medical Surveillance Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: Gather and report heart pattern information on patients. Operate monitoring computers that simultaneously display multiple patient results.Identify heart pattern changes and abnormalities. Clean and maintain equipment, battery packs, and wiring systems.

Salary: $26,000 - $41,000

Education: math, science, and computer technology courses in high school.

I would not like to be a medical surveillance technician. This job does not interest me at all. 

Do the Right Thing

In a game between Western Oregon and Central Washington, a senior named Sara hit her first home run, but when she forgot to touch first base she quickly turned and torn her ACL. She couldn't walk and her teammates weren’t allowed to help her. Neither she nor the team knew what to do. Until a girl named Mallory on the other team asked the umpire if she could carry her around to touch the plates. He said that would be okay and Mallory and her teammate Liz helped carry Sarah to home plate. These showed very good sportsmanship and they left the game aside to help another person even if it may have hurt their chances of winning.

This quote is relatable because it IS a great thing when someone chooses the right.  An example of this quote would be if a peer is getting bullied and instead of just witnessing you actually do something and speak up for him/her.

Education: bachelor's degree

A medical illustrator is a fascinating job. I wouldn’t like to be one though. It requires a very artistic gift of drawing well, which I’m not good at.

Reflection: In my opinion these commandments are very good life rules to follow. I don’t think you need to apart of the Indian culture to obey by these rules. They make up a person that is honest, trustworthy and humble.

I agree with this quote very much. Promises are important to me, I have never broke one. Most people find it shocking when I tell them that but it really isn’t all that hard; just don’t make promises you can’t keep. In my opinion keeping your promises shows that you’re a loyal and trustworthy person. 

Medical Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities: taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination.

Salary: $13.41 per hour

Education: The minimum education for a medical assistant is a high school diploma.

A medical assistant is a helpful companion to doctors but I wouldn’t like to be one. I take no interest in the medical field.

An example of this quote would be how karma works. If you’re a bad person that’s exactly what you will receive back. If you’re a good person you will receive good karma and be happy and fortunate in life.

The record that fascinated me the most is the street art one. I take interest in this record because it was done surprisingly well by children. It’s not important to me if do or don’t ever break a record in my life but it is nice to be recognized for a special ability.

Education: a state-approved training program

This job is very helpful to people who are injured or elderly. I would not like to work as a LPN. I have no interest in this job or in the medical field.

Duties and Responsibilities: assist in the lives of the sick, disabled and elderly by keeping a safe living environment for them

Education: complete formal training

I wouldn’t like to specialize in home health aide. I think it’s a good job for people that like taking care of elderly but in my opinion it seems more charitable than an actual job.

YouTube Headquarters

       The YouTube headquarters starts off with a giant YouTube play button plastered on the wall. There’s flat screen TVs all around the offices playing YouTubes trending videos so employees can stay updated. YouTube likes to keep its employees in a healthy state of mind so they provide natural lighting in rooms and comfortable seating areas. There’s also a fitness room with a full sized swimming pool for the staff, aerobics and personal training are taught by youtubers themselves.

 As children when playing hide N seek the one thing that would get you so angry is when the seeker would peak. It was cheating, you knew it was wrong and so did they. Now days to get an extra advantage in a game some athletes do steroids. They too know it’s wrong but choose to have their 15 minutes of fame and a lifetime of consequences.

Education: Doctor of Medicine degree

 Although this job seems to pay well I wouldn’t like to be an oncologist. The doctor does work on the field but there’s also a lot of paperwork and I don’t like that.

  I would not like to have this job. This job takes focus and care, I have neither. This job must also take a strong stomach for them not vomiting at the sight of someone’s insides.

Mitch’s father has cancer and Mitch wanted to find a way he wouldn’t think about it and just feel like a normal healthy father. Mitch didn’t think that his father will live any longer than a year so he wanted to win the finals in wrestling while he was still alive. His early morning anf off season trainging led him to winning and making his father proud.

     In my opinion this quote is saying money, beauty and strength don’t matter unless your heart is good. For example if a someone likes another based on looks it won’t last forever beauty in the face or body change with time but a good, kind heart will remain beautiful. 

Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities: Health educators teach other people about the behaviors that promote wellness.

Salary: $ 41,830

Education: Bachelor’s degree in health promotions or health education

The job of a health educator actually does seem pretty interesting but I still wouldn’t like to be one. A good health is important to stay alive and its very cool for these people to have a passion for helping others live a healthy life. 

Current Event

          A dress has taken the internet by storm. Millions argued over the true color of the dress, whether it is gold and white or black and blue. It’s said that the dress is an experiment by a college student.  At first sight I saw it gold and white then a couple a minutes later it appeared to be BLACK AND BLUE! I don’t know the true color of the dress or why people see it to be different colors. There are different theories as to why but who knows which is true.

I think this quote is saying to learn from  your mistakes. Instead of having regrets, call them “lessons learned”. Learning from your mistakes is what makes it worth it. Have no regrets. 

Reflexology

Duties and Responsibilities: Reflexology is an alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques without the use of lotion to help them relax and improve their health.

Salary: $33,000-$47,000

Education: Reflexology school

It sounds like a good job but i wouldn't like to be. I wouldn't like to be one because it doesn't really interest me.
